queer love

Are you ready to know deep in your bones that your queer love belongs?

I’m here to support you and your queer loved ones in living and loving with a courageous open heart.

What is Queer Love?

Queer is a term (reclaimed) to include the super spectrum of sexual and gender identities (LGBTQIA+).

Love is what I believe we’ve all been put on earth to do.

Queer Love is when we live authentically and in harmony with who we are, who we love, and how we feel most alive.

My own Queer Love has led me on epic adventures into a life I only dreamed was possible.

  • I went on a national music tour called Queer Your Living Room, where I shared my honest stories and sang personal songs to hundreds of amazing queer people.

  • I met my current deeply aligned romantic partner on the same tour.

  • I realized a big dream of recording a live album on the tour (you can get the album TODAY and share with loved ones!)

  • I took the leap to uproot myself and move to a town full of queer folks and musicians (shout out to Asheville!)

  • I’m creating connections with other queer people with dreams of starting land-based queer community.

The reality is sinking in that the life I have always longed for is not only possible, but it’s happening with every choice I make. And Queer Love is guiding me each step of the way.

This wasn’t always the case for me…

I spent over a decade dating and wondering if I’d ever meet a romantic partner who shared my vision for family, community, and living a fully expressed joyful creative life. (If you want the juicy highlights, check out the Queer Your Living Room Live Album.)

I had every dating app I could find and swiped as a part time job every night… read all the books about finding partnership (and was frustrated by how heteronormative they were and how I’d done everything and still… no partner).

I felt crippling shame, hiding under the covers after being rejected by women whom I thought might be queer, but weren’t, more times than I’d like to admit.

How about you? Can you relate?

(For real, I want to know. Message me below.)

I’ve also met and dated a lot of incredible queer women who are still in my life, whom I still love so dearly, even though we weren’t a right match in the long-term. So many of those women helped me gain the clarity I have today about what I want and need in relationship.

Now that I’m in a relationship that has what I’ve been searching for, I’m realizing there’s still a need deep in my bones for something more — a need for my queer love to belong in my life work.

Sung to the tune of amazing grace…

It’s queer love that’s brought me safe thus far, and queer love will lead me home.

My queer love wants to nurture a whole community of queer folks in person (on tour and in my new hometown) and long-distance (online queer love support group, coming in 2020). All while living in a committed sexy awesome co-creative music-making partnership with the woman I’m with today.

My queer love wants all that.

Which is why I’m here, on the earth. To awaken and support QUEER LOVE in the world. To celebrate the honest wisdom of queer experiences and travel together into the unknown of all the queer futures waiting to be realized, mine included.

What does your queer love want?

What does it really really want?

(spice girls fans?)

Let’s turn up Queer Love in the world, starting now.

Sometimes it helps us feel less alone to hear vulnerable honest love stories: the good, the bad, the embarrassing, and the beautiful. The Queer Your Living Room Live Album invites you into an honest, loving space where you can see yourself through my stories and songs, and feel your feelings through the lens of my experiences.

With deep reverence, queer honoring ritual, laughter, and candid conversations with the audience, you get a real honest view into highlights and downfalls of my decade+ of queer dating. Personal stories I had up until this tour only shared with close friends, are now yours to take in.

It’s with trust that I extend this intimacy to you through the Queer Your Living Room Live Album, because I feel deep in my heart how life-changing it is to hear one another’s most tender stories and to be inspired by one another’s creative lives. Especially for queer folks who rarely hear love stories that reflect our own experience.

It is my hope that the album will bring a sense of belonging to all the queer folks who might be feeling down and lonely this winter, especially during the holidays.

It’s time to queer the holiday living rooms, and warm the hearts of all our queer loved ones with a gift that hits home.

And yes, straight folks will absolutely appreciate and love this album too, for the heart-open honesty and relatable insight that comes through each story and song. We all have love to give, and that’s what the songs on the album are all about celebrating (heartache and mega feelings absolutely included).

And for queer folks, you may even find that sharing this album with straight friends or family could open the door to communicating your own experiences, creating more understanding with you and straight friends/family in your life. It could even be a great reason to gather with queer community and share your own experiences with queer love (stay tuned, I’ll be offering this online in the new year!).

Whether you heard about the Queer Your Living Room tour and wished you could’ve come, attended a live show and want to hear it again and share it, or you are just hearing about it for the first time and are intrigued to know what it’s all about…

Now is your chance to receive the full experience of the live Queer Your Living Room candlelight concert in Oakland, CA. Through the recording, you’ll be in the room where candles are being lit for queer loved ones, stories are being shared, and songs are sung from the core of my queer heart. Just like those (queer and allies alike) who attended the show live, you’ll walk away from the experience of this live recording with reverence, awe, and encouragement that all of our love belongs here and now.

The live album will be released digitally on December 14th to those who pre-order it now. Gift options are available at check out for those who would prefer to send this as a Christmas gift.

Special thanks

Big thanks to Scott Ferreter for recording the live show in Oakland, and eO for producing it! You two are amazing people to work with.

Thank you to each and every person in the room at the live show, and all of the folks who attended shows across the country on the Queer Your Living Room Tour. Your presence is a huge gift.

Thank you to my best friend, Rachael Maddox, for encouraging me to go on this tour, for naming it “Queer Your Living Room”, and for knowing every one of my stories because you were with me through the shame and the glory. Thank you for co-writing Love Will Find a Way (Soul Seed Song), and the portal of possibility you open in me and others.

Thank you to Asher Leigh for turning this tour into the most epic love story I could’ve ever imagined, and for loving me today with your songs and sweetness.

And thank you to my PATRONS, who show up each and every month financially in ways that truly make a difference. I love sharing my most personal updates, new songs, videos, and stories with you all as I continue to grow as an artist.

Thank YOU, beautiful human, for reading this and considering buying the live album to spread Queer Love everywhere this holiday season and beyond!

I love you all. So much.

With Mega Feelings,

Jodi
